March 20th, 2023 – Michael Rigas, PharmD. selected to the 2023 Fellow Program (FNHIA):
The National Home Infusion Association announced the 2023 Fellow Program (FNHIA) cohort. Fellows are selected based on their positive contributions to the home and alternate site infusion profession. The 2023 Class will be recognized at the NHIA 2023 Annual Conference.
“I am honored to be selected by NHIA to become one of its Fellows. It is a capstone on my 40-year pharmacist career to be recognized by NHIA for my contributions to the industry. When I started in the Home Infusion business in 1992 at OptionCare I had no idea that it would change my life and the lives of thousands of patients I was able to serve. OptionCare led to Apria in 1996, then to Crescent Healthcare in 2002, then to Geisinger Health system in 2008 and then finally to being a Co-founder of KabaFusion in 2010. I have been associated with NHIA since 2000 when I served on the Payor Relations committee that was instrumental in getting CMS to approve our current Home Infusion Billing System. Over the years I have been proud to serve on other NHIA committees and to provide direct educational lectures and services to NHIA members. I look forward to many more years working with NHIA to improve Home Infusion Patients lives via the education and support services that NHIA offers. Finally, I want to thank all of my workmates over the last 30 years of home infusion that allowed me to function at a level worthy of being selected as a Fellow of NHIA.”
