Leann has been a patient of the KabaFusion Boca Raton pharmacy since 2020. She is a cancer survivor requiring parenteral nutrition (PN) and IV hydration due to her limited ability to absorb nutrition. PN provides Leann with calories, protein, and nutrients that meet her daily nutrition needs. Leann commented “no one can say that the adjustment to IV nutrition and hydration is an easy road”. With the support of her pharmacist and dietitian, Leann was able to take a very special trip this year! She flew from Florida to Indiana to see her son, who is on tour with his country band, as the opening act for Jelly Roll! For patients like Leann, PN is truly life-sustaining. She acknowledges that the last 4.5 years of IV nutrition and hydration therapy have been challenging but “as a direct result of following the recommendations of my dietitian and my pharmacist, I have done very well with my PN.”
